A really lovely cafe. Very serene. I ordered the lunch set (matcha soba with karaage, rolled omelette & hojicha latte). It was quite pricey, but the quality of the food was fantastic. The karaage was freshly prepared, and the meat was tender. The omelette tasted faintly of yuzu. The hojicha latte was very rich and intense - just how I like it. You can tell they respect the art of tea.
There wasn't a dining limit and we felt very welcomed there. Would come again to try everything else.
Matcha latte is huge. The cheesecake is really powdery, so I had it with slow bites. They don’t have vegetarian lunch options here, though oat milk is available for drinks. Otherwise ambient environment.
Very nice atmosphere, serves AMAZING matcha. Tried the matcha latte and it's a big size for the price. Super worth it, the hojicha ice cream also tastes great and refreshing.
I was happy to find a high quality matcha place that is not franchised but handcrafted, original and directly imported from japan. Try the Uji ceremonial matcha, it’s so much worth it. Also the beef was juicy and tender. I came in the afternoon on a weekday and it was a quiet spot with wifi, perfect to take a break from the hongkong rush.
Was happy to see there’re some premium choices of tea and wanted to go for black tea but had a sudden craving for ice cream so I went for ice cream with hojicha as they come as a set. The environment was comfortable.
However the hojicha was unimpressive and it’s something you expect from a random cafe rather than a proper tea house. Perhaps I was lucky that I didn’t try the more expensive black tea I wanted at first. My seat was very uncomfortable. Service was mediocre, not rude nor friendly.
The worst thing is that its toilet is horrible given the environment and price range of this shop. Wet floor and smelly. This told me they don’t care much about managing the shop and perhaps quality of the tea became understandable.
